Principal’s Message

Welcome to the Nuckols Farm Elementary School website. Thank you for visiting!  It is my privilege to serve as the principal of Nuckols Farm Elementary; an outstanding school that is fully accredited and most recently the recipient of the 2019 Board of Education Highest Achievement Award.

Our mission is that “Nuckols Farm Elementary is a joyful community of learners dedicated to exemplary academic achievement, care for one another, service to others, and recognition of each person’s unique gifts and contributions.  Staff, students, parents, and the community work together to nurture skilled, caring, and passionate leaders for tomorrow.”

This year’s theme is Lights, Camera, #LifeReady.  In the coming year we will “spotlight” instruction, student achievements, and success, “capture” the moments, and focus on fostering students of quality character.  Our goal is to prepare our students to be #LifeReady as they move towards greater independence.  As we set the stage for deep learning, I invite you to join us as we move forward together by providing our students the skills and supports necessary to be critical thinkers, communicators, collaborators, creators, contributing members of our society, and most importantly #LifeReady.

Safety is our number one priority at The Farm.  I invite you to review the Crisis Preparedness Handbook for Parents that is located on the left-hand side of our homepage.   This handbook explains some of the procedures that have been planned and practiced in the event of an emergency.  We appreciate all you do to partner with us to ensure the safety of all our students and staff.

Throughout the school year parents are encouraged to volunteer, attend school events, and join our amazing PTA.  I look forward to continuing to build strong partnerships with you throughout the coming year as we support the success of our children.  If I can assist you in any way this year, please do not hesitant to contact me.

Yours in education,

Crystal Metzger
